I’m an educator and counselor with a background in psychology. I have a Master’s in Educational Psychology from Touro University and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University. I’m also a Master Counselor in Alcoholism and Substance Abuse, credentialed in New York and internationally through the IC&RC.

For over 20 years, I’ve taught middle and high school students, and I founded and led a high school specifically for girls dealing with substance abuse issues. Alongside teaching, I’ve provided counseling and done substance abuse interventions, supporting people and families through some of life’s toughest challenges.

I’m the author of the Living Smarter series—personal finance textbooks for middle and high school students that focus on clear, practical advice for managing money. After publishing one book for middle school and two for high school, I’m now working on one for adults that offers the same kind of straightforward guidance. I’m also developing a substance abuse book for adults and a curriculum designed for high school students.

My writing has appeared in local and regional magazines, including Butterfly Magazine, Binah Magazine, The Cleveland Corner, Monsey Mevassar, The Voice of Lakewood, and Where What When Magazine. My work on financial literacy and substance abuse has also been featured in Ami Magazine, Binah Magazine, Butterfly Magazine, Jewish Action, The Jewish Home, Mishpacha Magazine, Monsey View, and Yated. I care deeply about making these important topics clear, practical, and accessible to everyone.

On the personal side, I’ve been married for 41 years and am blessed with eight wonderful children and many grandchildren who keep my life busy and meaningful.
